Quest’anno viene celebrato il 20° anniversario dell’uscita di questo capolavoro con una speciale release in multiformato, la cui uscita è prevista per il prossimo 3 Giugno via Universal, che affianca diverse edizioni rimasterizzate dell’album “Superunknown“, originariamente edito nel 1994. Si parte con lo standard CD, contenente la versione rimasterizzata del disco originale. Vi è poi la Deluxe Edition in 2 CD dove figurano anche demo, registrazioni live dalle prove del gruppo e B-side. Per gli incontentabili ecco quindi la Super Deluxe Edition in 5 dischi, comprensivi dell’album originale rimasterizzato, un CD di demo, un CD di brani live, uno di B-side e la versione dell’album mixata in
5.1 Surround su Blu-ray ™ Audio 5.1, tutto in un packaging speciale a libro con copertina lenticolare, note interne di David Fricke (giornalista, critico musicale ed editor dell’edizione americana della rivista Rolling Stone), un nuovo artwork di Josh Graham e foto inedite della band, realizzate da Kevin Westerberg. Infine è previsto pure un doppio LP gatefold con la versione del disco originale rimasterizzato in vinile da 180 gr. I Soundgarden, inoltre, saranno in tour in Europa e toccheranno l’Italia per un solo concerto, quello del 2 Luglio al Castello Scaligero di Villafranca (VR).
